I really dislike listening to the outgoing message (OGM) on the voice mail for people whom I call frequently. I've already heard the message repeatedly and want to leave a message fast. I don't want to have to listen to the options ("press 5 now to page this person", which I never do) and only eventually actually get to leave my message. This is an appeal to you to tell me how to skip your outgoing message. In my voice mail system (Sprint), you press the # key to skip the message and go directly to leaving the message. (Some voice mail systems use the 1 key instead.) So I tell people to press # unless they want to hear my outgoing message, which can either be mercifully short or contain actually useful information about how to get in touch. Please! Please! Save me minutes of my time and the frustration of dropped calls in bad cell zones by letting me leave you a message as a fast as possible!
Er, you already posted about this. (I know, because I obediently changed my OGM.) Just two months of blogging and you are re-ranting.
